Eemshaven Port – RWE Power Plant

THE PROJECT

New RWE Group’s 1600 MW coal-fired power station neat the harbour of Eemshaven (Netherlands).


 

THE INTERVENTION
Studio Introzzi took care of the working design and statical calculation of the metal wall and roof cladding systems of 12 buildings part of the plant’s complex.
The roof claddings were carried out with waterproofing membrane, rigid mineral wool insulation, flat steel sheets and ThyssenKrupp’s T.100 trapezoidal sheets steel deck; the wall cladding consists in single skin system with T.40 steel trapezoidal sheets, also supplied by ThyssenKrupp, fixed on a loadbearing framework.
The cladding of the conveyor bridges, roof and wall, also comprised of a single skin system with T.40 steel trapezoidal sheets.
Total works’ size: 19.100 sq.m. (roof cladding 2.650 sq.m., wall cladding 11.450 sq.m., bridges cladding 5.000 sq.m.).
