THE PROJECT

The Yas Marina Circuit is the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke,and is situated on the man-made Yas Island. The marina-based development includes a theme park, a water park, as well as residential areas, hotels and beaches. It also houses a team building behind the pit building, Media Center, Dragster Track, VIP Tower and Ferrari World Theme Park.

THE INTERVENTION

Studio Introzzi took care of the working design and statical calculation of the roof and wall metal cladding systems for 12 service buildings around the race track, including one for Scuderia Ferrari.
The wall cladding was carried out with ThyssenKrupp’s Isowand Integral sandwich panels and special rounded elements for corner and parapet connection. Scuderia Ferrari’s building has in addition an ornamental roof cladding, carried out with Isowand Vario sandwich panels, painted in red “Rosso Corsa” motor racing colour. The wall cladding panels of this building are “Rosso Corsa” as well.
